BALANSIT PRODUCT DISCLAIMER

Please be advised that the Balansit is an unstable device, and there are inherent personal

safety risks associated with using the Balansit. Extreme caution should be exercised at all

times. We accept no responsibility under any circumstances for any accident or injury in any

way connected with the use of our product. This is intended to be a legally binding

disclaimer and a condition of the contract of the sale of your Balansit.

BALANSIT EXERCISE DISCLAIMER

The Balansit Exercises suggested on our website are not prescriptive or designed to be

therapeutic. If you have any health issues including pathologies or muscular skeletal issues

please see a trained practitioner to establish safe exercise protocols specific to your

condition. Under no circumstances can we take responsibility for any injuries connected

with the use of the Balansit, or by any third party practitioner’s instruction, even if they are

following the Balansit Exercises, we cannot accept responsibility for an individual

practitioner’s interpretation or instruction of these exercises.

Please do not attempt an exercise more advanced than your level of fitness, balance or

condition. If you experience pain in any position, immediately stop the exercise.

A condition of purchase means I hereby release Balansit the company together with its

affiliates, employees, consultants, agents and assigns, from all claims, liability, damages or

injuries that may arise in connection with the use of the Balansit, and hereby indemnify

them against all expenses, costs and losses, including attorney’s fees and costs of suit, that

may arise with respect thereto.

BALANSIT SAFETY

The Balansit is used to assist in prolonged sitting, to assist in bio mechanical and ergonomic

positioning of the body. The Balansit is designed to be unstable, this is the defining principle

that activates the stabilisation of your core muscles. 

A degree of balance is required to gain benefit from using your Balansit. We recommend

starting with 5 minutes at a time, you can build up to longer periods of sitting as your

endurance improves. We recommend building up to using the Balansit for a maximum of 30

MINUTES at a time. Incorrect use may result in injury.

The Balansit is best used on a flat, hard surfaced chair. It can be used on a chair with an

incline or cushioning but this will not result in optimum function of the Balansit. The Balansit

can also be used to sit on the floor in a cross legged, squat, or other comfortable position.

Due to its unstable design, standing on your Balansit is not recommended.

It is important that your Balansit is positioned correctly and that your sitting bones are

positioned evenly on top of the thin raised curve, with a slight decline in your legs. If

necessary the legs can be raised by putting something under your feet to achieve the

correct leg position. Stabilise the Balansit with your hands as you sit down to position it

correctly and to make sure you don’t slip off the Balansit. Make sure both feet are firmly

and evenly placed on the floor in front of the chair before you sit down.

Any pain or discomfort could mean that you may be positioned either too far forward or too

far back on the Balansit. Or your Balansit could be the wrong size for you.

It is normal for your body to move slightly as it finds balance . Your balance will improve

rapidly as your deep core muscles innately activate to stabilise you. Use your hands on a

stable surface to keep you balanced in these initial stages.

Immediately stop using the Balansit if you experience any pain.

THE BALANSIT

The Balansit is currently only available in one colour - GRAPHITE (Dark Grey).

Please note that each Balansit has individual COLOUR SWIRLS AND MARKS - this is

unavoidable due to the way the material sets in the mould and is not a defect.

The Balansit is available in THREE SIZES, Small, Medium and Large. Please make sure you are

using the correct size for your WEIGHT. Please select the size most suitable to your WEIGHT

from our SIZE CHART.

The Balansit is made from Medical Grade Foam and is Latex and Allergy Free.

BALANSIT CARE

The Balansit does not like to lie in the sun. Please ensure you keep your Balansit out of

direct sunlight, including indirect sunlight shining through windows. If left in the sun, or

exposed to constant bright light your Balansit will eventually discolour and the skin will

become brittle and may crack, tear or disintegrate. Unfortunately all foam fades/yellows

when exposed to light.

The Balansit can be cleaned using a damp cloth, dipped in lukewarm water and mild soap.

DO NOT use oil based cleaners on your Balansit, or cleaners with high alcohol content as this

can dry out the skin.

For conditioning the skin, our manufacturer has suggested 'Armor All multi-purpose cleaner’

or a similar product that is used for protecting car interiors, but we suggest using it very

sparingly.

The Balansit material has anti-fungal and antibacterial agents in it, so excessive cleaning

should not be required.

The Balansit does not like to swim, please do not immerse in water, or use a dripping wet

cloth when wiping it down.

Be gentle with your Balansit, any excessive rough handling may cause splitting or tearing in

the skin, especially in the thinnest part. Please do not twist or bend your Balansit into

unnatural positions. Please be aware that sharp objects like zippers on clothing will pierce

the protective layer of the Balansit, leading to damage and perhaps tearing of the skin. Also

using the Balansit on rough surfaces can scuff and damage the skin.

EXCHANGES, REFUNDS and WARRANTY

Please use the SIZE CHART to choose the correct size Balansit for you. Please send us an

email at: info@balansit.com.au with your measurements if you are unsure of the best size.

We can exchange incorrect size purchases but the return postage of the Balansit is at your

expense, we will send a replacement once the incorrect size has been received in perfect

condition in the original packaging.

The Balansit has a 12 month Manufacturer’s Warranty against manufacturing faults.

Damage due to incorrect use, sharp objects piercing the skin, skin damage due to scuffing

from rough surfaces or discolouration over time will not be refunded.

BALANSIT COPYRIGHT NOTICE

Balansit is the owner of an extensive array of intellectual property, including Patented

Design and Copyrighted materials and trademarks. All content generated by or on behalf of

Balansit and Oov, including but not limited to the Product, hard copy materials, digital

downloads of videos, any content available on a Balansit or Oov website or the website of a

Balansit distributor, marketing materials branded with any of the Balansit and Oov

trademarks, text, graphics, logos, pictures, button icons, images, audio clips, and data

compilations is the property of Balansit protected by international copyright laws.

Copying, redistribution, retransmission or publication of any downloaded material is strictly

prohibited. You shall not prepare any derivative work of the Balansit materials, except as

explicitly authorised by Balansit in connection with any discrete content (and any such copy

or derivative of the content shall itself be deemed the property of Balansit licensed by you

under this Agreement).

PRIVACY

What personal data we collect and why we collect it. We work to provide you with the best

possible service. In order to do this, we may use the personal information we collect from

you to:

• Process and track your order
• Provide any services you request
• Contact you about the status of an order
• Send you promotional offers we believe will be of interest to you
• Provide information about products you have purchased
• Notify you of new products, exercise videos, associated with these products
• Improve our merchandise selection and customer service

We will use your e-mail address to respond to questions or other emails we receive from

you. 

We may request information from you such as your name, e-mail address, or other

information needed in order to process your order. The information supplied in that manner

will be used solely for the specific purpose for which you supplied it unless otherwise stated

purposes are likely to be disclosed to the third parties so that they can provide such

mailings. This website does not sell or give the information it gathers through cookies to any

third parties, with the exception, noted above. Credit card information and passwords are

not saved in cookies.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and

website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your

details again. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser

accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your

screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a

our customer data. This website also may contain links that you can choose to reach other

sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties. This website is not

responsible for the availability of or the content located on or through any such third party

site. Nor do we have any control over that site owner's privacy policy, so if you are not sure

how this information will be collected and used through that site, you must check the policy

that is posted on that site.

PRIVACY OF CHILDREN ON OUR WEBSITE

Our web site is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not

knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

POLICY CHANGES

From time to time, we may need or want to use customer information for new uses not

previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change, we will post

these changes on our web site. We encourage you to review our privacy policy periodically.

videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact

with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded

content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

DISCLOSURE EXCEPTIONS

In general, we will not use personal information in a manner inconsistent with the ways we

have described in this policy. However, notwithstanding the above policies, we reserve the

right to disclose your personal information to appropriate third parties if we are required to

do so by law or we believe that such action is necessary, for example:

• To protect the company's rights and property;
• To investigate reports of fraud or of users sending material using a false

When you provide us your e-mail address, we may send you e-mails necessary to process

your order or respond to a request, or, if you do not object to it, to receive or e-messages

from our customer service department.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so

we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding

them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website, we also store the

personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their

personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website

administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an

exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided
